After one painful hour of typing, finally I managed to come up with my reflection for OH:

HUI ZYI’s reflection:

I have gained a lot from my short one year stay here. To me, the Oldham Hall community is indeed like a family (No, not because Mr. Andrew brainwashed me!). Friends are always there when I feel down, and the AHMs are not tyrants breathing down my neck so that I follow rules but rather approachable adults who can give mature and well-thought advices. The lively, dynamic culture proves that hostel life does not have to be mundane and boring (Of course you have to be willing to join in the fun!). Oldham Hall is truly a second home, one that I look forward to come back to after a long, tiring day.

As the President of the Student Council, I have learnt a lot in terms of leadership and people relations. From all that we have done this year, one important lesson that I have learnt is that with hard work, nothing is impossible. After going through painful process of preparation for events like the Thanksgiving Dinner and the Farewell Dance, I always feel the strong sense of satisfaction when I see fellow boarders enjoy the fruit of our labour. I have also learnt to love and enjoy things that I normally dread doing, such as attending Assembly, and see things in a different light.

I will definitely miss Oldham Hall after I leave, and I am truly thankful for all that God has given me by putting me through the uniquely Oldham Hall experience!


P.s. I am so sorry that it’s so long, I don’t know how to cut!

Hi Ms Dung! Is your name spelled as Dung or Dzung? I used to spell it as Dung then I saw somewhere that its Dzung.

Anyway I'm sorry for my slowness! I just felt that it should be true from the bottom of my heart. K im just being a little perfectionist :P Anyway after writing this article, I officially claim that I LOVE OLDHAM HALL!!!!!!! Its only after I thought through it that I realised how fortunate I am to be here.

Oh no!!! why am i telling you all these? K never mind, guess Im too tired. Shall go sleep now. K good night.
